Hello everyone

welcome to treffpunkt. The treffpunkt is a place for encounters, exchange, community and culture. The treffpunkt is a place where you can participate and discuss.

Come along and join in! From May 4 to July 6, 2024, we will be open every day from 2 to 8 pm (mondays till 7pm). You will find the treff.punkt at Kreuzplatz 7 - by the ball fountain on Seltersweg in Giessen.

And self-organize the space at Kreuzplatz 7. This means that everything that happens there is organized by all of us for all of us. We are using the vacant space in Giessen and opening up a space on Seltersweg. This space is not profit-oriented, but a place where we can come together as residents of this city. A place to linger, drink a glass of water, a cup of tea or coffee or attend an event, such as a lecture, workshop, open crochet meeting, children's disco, rap battle, etc....to visit. We want to discuss what we are missing in Giessen and how we want to shape the city sustainably together. In June 2023, we opened under the banner “How do we come together?” and asked ourselves: What are you missing in the city center or Giessen? And how would you prefer to use this space? These answers, encounters, needs and discussions clearly showed that we need a self-designed space in the city center for all people who want to help shape it and spend time there. Now the treff.punkt has been at Kreuzplatz 7 since May 4! Come along and join in!
